But Where Does the Love Go?

Something strange happens when your heart is opening. It quickly starts searching for a place to put the love.

I had a wonderful call with my brother-in-law and spiritual teacher, Shane Hanner, a few weeks ago and I think it’s a message worth sharing.

Sometimes a person can unlock a door inside of you.

Not a door that was never there, but a door that was hidden in the depths of you, that you did not have the key for.

When the door cracks open, an expansion happens internally. Maybe it’s a feeling of laughter that you’ve never experienced. Perhaps it’s a safety felt through your bones. Pleasure that you didn’t know you could achieve.

No matter what this new space holds, as a human experiencing life, sometimes we want “the unlocker” of this door to be the one that continues to hold the key.

In other words: we want to pour the overflow of love into the person that has helped us feel this way.

What Shane helped me realize during our hour-long call together is that sometimes, the key holder is only meant to be a passerby in your story. They are put in your life to show you a part of yourself and help you expand your heart.

That’s all. Period.

When I was going through a heart expansion recently, Shane encouraged me to meditate on this feeling. Allowing it to fully consume me, take over my mind, and search for where the racing thoughts were coming from.

When I searched and searched and allowed the new feelings to take over my body… there was nothing to be found. It wasn’t love for this other person.

It was a new level of presence and deeper understanding of love... for me. Deep inside my being.

As I opened my eyes, a poem emerged.

I would like to share it with you.

Where to Land

A new door unlocked

Head spinning

Heart sinking

Dreaming

Of then

Of now

Of when?

I want to dance

And laugh

And also cry?

Expansion inside

Arrows thrown in every direction

Will you catch it?

Or maybe you?

Or you?

Wanting it to find

A bullseye.

But maybe

It’s meant to continue

Through the open sky

Ah,

That feels better.

Oh look!

It’s coming right back

It’s found it’s landing

Place…

Me.

It feels good to love, to give love, to be loved.

And, in our openness for love to & from another, we must honor the importance of a deep love for ourselves.

We must allow ourselves to receive lessons, pleasure, and new levels of love without tying that piece of our hearts to a particular entity who might not deserve it.

The universe/god/goddess above will only bring us exactly what we need.

Sometimes a deep, beautiful bond between souls will transpire.

Other times, we feel heartbreak.

When we are honest with our integrity and hearts, everything meant to stay in our lives will stay, and everything meant to go will go.

Both experiences leading us back to our bodies and expanding our emotions that we feel while we walk this earth.

Be patient & feel through it.

Don’t let the door close if the love doesn’t know where to go.

Radiate it back through you.

Savor it. Dance. Meditate. Spend moments in nature.

Your heart is preparing you for something beautiful.

I have 1 space open for my 8-week, 1:1 alignment coaching container where I provide you the tools & verbiage to work through trauma, anxiety, heartbreak, or anything that is pulling you out of the present moment. xx

ABOUT CAMILLE

DSC01382.JPG

A soul that runs as deep as the ocean… maybe that's why I always felt so at home in its silence.

My mom, stepmom, and sister all paved the way. They were very openly spiritual, but I subconsciously tried rejecting that part of me. I was always more of the “quiet observer” (as my stepmom calls me). Just taking in the path of everyone around me without making any moves that were not precisely calculated. I was always drawn to the spiritual stores, enthralled with the Buddhist way of life, and called to yoga, but I wasn’t quite ready for it yet....
